Terms & Conditions
If you have any questions about our terms and conditions, please contact us.
Our Obligations
DLT Services Ltd will transport the goods from the arranged collection point to the arranged delivery point at a specific time agreed by both parties.
During loading/unloading we are under no obligation to provide labour or equipment (forklift, crane etc). However our drivers will happily assist, where possible, as it is the driver’s responsibility to make sure that the vehicle is loaded and secured correctly within the legal weight and size limits. THE DRIVERS WORD IS FINAL. If the driver feels that the load is unsafe or over the legal limits he/she can refuse to transport it until amendments have been made.
In the unlikely event that the driver arrives at the collection/ delivery point to find that the customer has failed to provide the correct equipment to load/offload we will endeavour to find an alternative solution if possible.
The drivers are obliged to carry full PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times.
Customer Obligations
The customer must be the owner - or have the authority from the owner of the goods - to enter into a contract with us to have the goods transported.
A purchase order must be supplied by the customer prior to - or at the time of collection of - goods unless agreed otherwise.
The customer must provide an accurate description of the consignment (including weights and dimensions) prior to collection. Where applicable the goods must be securely packed and labelled.
The customer is responsible for supplying specialist equipment and labour to load/unload. Any costs arising from the detection of undisclosed or illegal goods will be incurred by the customer: illegal goods found will be reported to the relevant authorities immediately.
Proof of delivery notes must be supplied by the customer and signed for, and filled out upon delivery. Payments must be made in full within the timescale agreed (see payment terms).
Limitations & Liabilities
DLT Services Ltd will endeavour to delivery your goods on time every time. However we cannot be held liable for any delays due to unforeseen traffic conditions, weather or industrial action.
